August 23, 2010- Lawndale Back to School Drive

On August 23, 2010, Monday Night with the Kids hosted an event at Saint Sabina School (7801 S Throop) in Chicago, IL where Children from Clara's House and the Lawndale Children's Center were given backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year. Nearly 50 children received backpacks compliant with Chicago Public School policy that were filled with supplies appropriate for their grade in school. MNWK hopes to make this an annual event to help these children. Special needs children from these two groups also received special iSafe backpacks.
